Buudhi

The problem
Three audiences — teachers, parents and institutions — want different things from the same catalogue, and each new course format (recorded, live, masterclass, academic) risks becoming its own bespoke set of pages.
The solution
One browsing system that adapts to intent rather than three parallel sites: audience entry points at the top, categories and featured courses in shared card patterns, and a course card that carries format, price and live status without changing shape.
The result
New formats and categories slot into patterns that already exist, so the catalogue can grow without a redesign.
01
Overview
Buudhi is an online learning platform for teachers, educators and parents: expert-led courses, live interactive classes, certification, and a supporting community — with a public marketplace and an authenticated product behind it.
02
Context
Two audiences with two very different jobs on one identity. A parent is browsing; an institution is procuring; a teacher is upskilling. All three arrive at the same catalogue and need different routes through it.
03
Challenge
Platforms grow. The interface that carries four categories today is asked to carry twelve next year, plus a live format, plus certification, plus an academic track. If the design is a set of one-off pages, every addition costs a redesign and the product drifts.
04
Approach
The design was built as a system first — type scale, spacing, colour roles, card, form, list and table patterns, empty and loading states — before any individual screen was finalised. Audience routes sit above the catalogue rather than splitting it. One course card carries every format, with live status and price as states rather than as separate components.
05
Build
Front-end and back-end work, including the authenticated experience: sign-in, session handling, protected routes, currency selection, and the API integration that feeds the catalogue.
06
What I did
- 01Information architecture across the public and authenticated sides
- 02Design system: tokens, components, card, form and data patterns
- 03Interface design for the marketplace, course detail and account surfaces
- 04Front-end implementation, responsive across breakpoints
- 05Back-end and API integration work
Live
See it working.
This project is live. The best version of any case study is the product itself.
